Updated Repair and Modification Policies
effective from 1.3.2023
We have clarified our repair service process with regards to instructions, definitions and forms.
The new policies have been designed to ensure that we are not repairing or modifying products that are too old, no longer with adequate pressure or resulting in products that are no longer up to our quality standards.
The new policies are also better aligned with the EU Medical Device Regulation requirements for customer safety.
See below the updated conditions and instructions:
Repairs and modifications only to Lymed products
We cannot repair or modify products from other manufacturers or non-medical products. Our services and production techniques only serve Lymed products. We also don’t do post-production modification to standard sized products
Repairs and modifications to products within 12 months from the production date
The material of the product changes and wears out during use in varying degrees from one customer to another. We cannot repair or modify older products as we can no longer guarantee the same fit or pressure level.
Repair of products repaired by others
Products that have been repaired or modified by others (such as products darned by the customer) are difficult or even impossible to repair by us as we can no longer guarantee the same fit or pressure level.
Changes to the terms of chargeable repairs and modifications
1. We can only repair or modify products within 12 months from the production date.
2. Modifications to measurements or pressure/compression level will not be made for productions older than 6 months from the production date.
3. Post-production modifications to standard sized products will not be made
4. Whole product pressure/compression level change can only be made for sleeves, legs and socks.

- Desired modification must be informed as a pressure/compression level. We will not made modifications according to desired centimetres.
- Measurement changes can be made to differences of 0,5 cm at minimum.
- Product enlargements can only be made to Sense-products.
5. We will not combine two products into one as a modification.
6. We have removed the additional washing fee. Garments should still be properly washed before sending them to Lymed.
7. Delivery charges are incurred by the sender.
Warranty repairs
1.We will not charge any additional fees or delivery charges.
2. Products without product label (wash label) will not be repaired under warranty.

Updated Terms and Conditions from 1.3.2023
1. Returns and exchanges (section 9) has been refined:

- Standard-size Lymed products will be delivered sealed with a hygiene sticker. All Lymed products and other products retailed by us will be considered health and hygiene products, which cannot be returned or exchanged once opened (as per the Consumer Protection Act Chapter 6 §16).
- Instructions for returns and exchanges for custom-made and standard-size products have been clarified.

2. The definition of special products (section 7) in terms of ordering, delivery and manufacturing have been clarified.
3. Information required for submitting an order has been refined (section 2).
4. Defining non-medical products, which we do not manufacture (section 7)
