Manufacturing of Lymed Face Masks:

Why use a fabric face mask?

The virus is transmitted through droplets and close contact. The face mask forms the first protective layer against droplet infection: it does not filter COVID-19 virus particles, but curbs droplet-based spread. Masks prevent the spread of infectious droplets when speaking, breathing, or coughing. The mask is not a personal protective equipment. Please follow your government’s information regarding face masks.

All in all, the best way to protect yourself against the coronavirus is to stay at home, keep at least 1-2 meters away from other people and wash your hands with soap and water or clean them with an alcoholic hand sanitizer.

What do you need to understand when using a face mask?

The fabric between the face and the outside air increases the breathing resistance. People with severe asthma or other respiratory failure should primarily discuss appropriate protection options with their physician. Do not wear a mask if it is challenging to breathe with it.

Wearing and storing the mask

Store a clean, dry mask, for example, in a designated plastic bag, separate from other items. Put the clean mask on only with clean hands. Place the mask very tightly around the nose and mouth so that the breathing air is filtered through the mask and does not flow through the sides of the mask.
Keep the mask clean, do not touch the mask during use. Touching the mask increases the number of contaminants in front of your airways. During use, the mask should not be transferred to the neck and back to the face for any reason (e.g. due to drinking, eating, or smoking). Take care of your hygiene when changing the mask.

Taking the mask off and washing it

Remove the mask by touching only its fastening straps and place the mask directly in the washing machine or in a plastic bag designated for dirty masks. Keep used, unwashed product out of the reach of others, for example in a separate plastic bag. Do not use the same plastic bag for unused and used masks. Wash your hands and wash the mask after each use. Be aware that the product used may present a risk of infection. The mask must be washed at 90 degrees.
