Choosing the right product

When acquiring a pressure garment, it should be assessed whether a standard-sized product can be used or whether a custom-made product is required.

As a general principle, Lymed always recommends the use of a custom-made product. Custom-made products generally provide a better fit than standard-sized products. Significant swelling, anatomical characteristics, and individual special requirements generally guide the choice towards a custom-made product.

The fit of a standard-sized product must be carefully verified: the more closely the user’s measurements correspond to the size chart, the more likely it is that the fit is correct and that the pressure is applied appropriately.
